Phonewire, Inc. was founded in 1998 at St. Louis, Missouri. Initially created to be an online magazine with articles, product reviews, and unique services related to business communications, Phonewire.com quickly became known for the most affordable, toll-free, live operator answering service ever created!

Later that year, we introduced our second service — what would become known as voicemail transcription. By building relationships with the deaf and hard of hearing communities, we were able to further develop the service into what has now become the most reliable and accurate people-powered™ voicemail transcription service worldwide.

In 2005, we expanded to include consulting services to provide expert advise and auditing to organizations looking to gain a competitive advantage. Our bold recommendations and predictions of changing consumer behavior helped to better prepare our clients for the economic slowdown first witnessed in late 2007.

We are an organization that has fought hard to remain focused to our original mission: to help businesses communicate. On the very month and day of our 10-year anniversary in 2008, we have been blessed with this opportunity to continue towards our goal with this new website, designed to be even more interactive and become your source: not only for the best and most valued communication services and solutions, but your source for helpful articles and product reviews as the online magazine that we originally intended to create so long ago.
